Membership


  1. All persons aged 12 or above, can apply to become a Member of the Seychelles PLUS Programme. 
      
  2. An individual identification number is assigned to each member and membership takes effect on the date of the first use of this number. The membership number assigned to each member is for the exclusive use of the member as stated on the membership card.

Tier Levels


  1. Each member will be assigned a membership number and will be assigned to a tier level. The tier level is dependent on the points accumulated for travel during the previous calendar year. Tier levels are not affected by promotional or compensation points. 
      
  2. Promotional points or any form of compensation credited to your account, will not affect your Tier Level.

Plus Points


  1. Airline and Travel Agent employees, including their families, travelling on rebated/discounted tickets cannot claim points. 
      
  2. In the event that a member is also a member of another Frequent Flyer Programme, he/she cannot accumulate points under both programmes for the same flight sector.  
     
  3. Travel on Trade Concession, Discounted or Package Fare tickets does not qualify for points. Points earned to member accounts are independent of the paying party of the ticket. 
      
  4. To claim PLUS points not recorded on the periodical statements sent by Air Seychelles, the Member must produce evidence of the qualifying travel (tickets & boarding cards) with the claim form. Credit for past flights will only be given if the flight in question was less than 6 months from the date of the initial query. No credit will be given to members prior to date of joining the club.  
      
  5. Involuntary reroute- Seychelles PLUS members who have been involuntary rerouted by Air Seychelles for whatever reason are eligible for credit equivalent to the distance of the original travel arrangement (even if involuntary rerouted journey was on another airline/s). Upon completion of travel, members should contact the local Seychelles PLUS office with relevant document: Copy of Ticket and or boarding card. 
      
  6. PLUS Points are non-transferable to any member or non-member and are non-redeemable for cash.   
       
  7. A member may redeem points from his account, to allocate a reward to another person (member or non-member). This request must be made as per the applicable rules above.

Plus Rewards


  1. All reward requests (Flights, Excess Baggage, CIP Lounge) should be made on a Reward Request form signed by the Member and forwarded to your closest Air Seychelles Sales & Reservations office at least 15 days before the desired departure date. When collecting your rewards, proper identification is required either in the form of Identity cards or passports. 
      
  2. All Reward flight requests, both in Pearl and Economy class, will be confirmed up to 30 days before departure, subject to availability at the time of making the request. 
      
  3. Rewards that have been issued and still valid yet not used by the member can be re-issued for another date or destination. A penalty charge of SCR 100 or 100 PLUS points will however be charged. Tickets are only valid on Air Seychelles flights, except in the case of some Air Seychelles flights which are operated by a foreign carrier. Seychelles PLUS is not liable to re-issue any stolen, lost or damaged reward documents. Rewards when issued are deducted from a members account whether used or not. 
      
  4. Reward flight and Upgrade requests will be subject to availability. Peak seasons should be avoided when redeeming points due to the high load. 
      
  5. When redeeming points for excess baggage, the maximum allowance per passenger will depend on the booked capacity of the flight. Gold members flying in Pearl class will receive the 30kgs allowance and the 20kg excess allowance Gold tier benefit, but will be restricted to redeeming a maximum of 20kg additional excess baggage with their points.

Expiry of Plus Points


  1. As of March 2010, all points acquired will have a 2 year validity period. For example, points acquired on 12th of April 2010 will expire at midnight on 12th of April 2012.

Legal Terms


  1. Air Seychelles reserves the right to refuse or withdraw membership of Seychelles PLUS. 
      
  2. Air Seychelles reserves the right to terminate or change the Seychelles PLUS Programme and/or its terms and conditions at any time, giving reasonable notice where possible. The airline will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from such termination or change. 
      
  3. Members are responsible for airport and government taxes and any other costs that may arise as a result of membership of the programme. 
      
  4. Air Seychelles reserves the right to terminate membership if the Terms & Conditions above are not respected or if there is sufficient evidence to show that there has been any attempt to misuse the programme. Should membership be terminated, all points accumulated will be cancelled. 
      
  5. Air Seychelles General Terms & Conditions of Transport will apply to reward flights. 
      
  6. The Terms & Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Seychelles.
