Tips for preparing your luggage

Baggage allowance and Checked Luggage for the cargo hull

The weight of the luggage should not exceed 23 kg per person in economy class for all European gateways and 20kg on all regional sectors. Pearl class allowance is 30 kg on all sectors. If your luggage exceeds the authorized weight you will have to pay a supplement.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ________________________
Please note that the maximum weight per individual piece of checked baggage must not exceed 32 kg. Any single piece of baggage weighing more than 32 kg will not be accepted at check-in at any stations. Passengers will be required to reduce the weight by re-packing the baggage into smaller units or send it by cargo.

Safety Considerations

Kindly note that for your safety as well as for all on board the aircraft, the following items are not allowed in your cabin and checked baggage:

Carry on items that contain alarm devices, compressed gases and liquids (flammable, non-flammable and poisonous), corrosives and poisons (acids, alkalis, arsenic, wet batteries, mercury), oxidizing and radioactive materials, magnetic (magnet, compass), explosives (firearms, flares ammunitions fireworks), flammable products (matches, lighter fuels), irritating materials, pepper and mace spray, magnetised materials.

Other restricted items in the cabin baggage: Sharp objects such as scissors, knives, ice pick, letter openers, toy guns, pets/livestock.

  • Medicinal & toilet articles may be carried on board in small quantities.
  • Electronic devices and the operation of cellular telephones (hand phones), portable radios, TV set, and toys with remote control and all transmitting units can interfere with aircraft navigation equipment and therefore should not be used on board the aircraft at any time. Hand phones should be turned off at all times.
  • The use of portable voice recorders, handheld video cameras, electric shavers, CD or Walkman players and personal computers without printers may be used on board the aircraft from 15 minutes after takeoff until the seat belt sign is switched on in preparation for landing.

Cabin Baggage

For your own comfort and safety, as well as for all on board, you may carry (only) one piece of cabin baggage not exceeding 7 Kg (15lb) and of maximum dimension 115 cm (length + width + height).

Any items deemed to be of excessive weight or size will have to be retrieved and re-loaded into the aircraft cargo hold and charged at the applicable rate. This is in the interest of safety for all on board. Personal articles such as the following may be carried in addition: a lady’s handbag, an overcoat or wrap or blanket, an umbrella or walking stick, a small camera, reading material, infant food and nappies, infant safety seat.
