Air Seychelles and the Seychelles Tourism Board have teamed up on a tourism roadshow in Germany this week that will cover promotional stops in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

The delegation from Seychelles includes Victor von Schweinitz, Sales Executive for Air Seychelles, Edith Hunzinger from STB, representatives from top hotel establishments and resorts including Constance Hotels, Le Duc, Valmer Resorts, Eden Bleu, Hilton Seychelles and Raffles, and tour operator 7° South.

The group will meet major travel agents from Germany to promote the Seychelles tourism offering as well as the two-per-week nonstop air connection between Düsseldorf and Seychelles launched by Air Seychelles on 30 March.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “This roadshow will take us to three of the biggest cities in Germany, raising awareness of our new air link and promoting Seychelles as an attractive holiday destination.

“The introduction of our non-stop service to Düsseldorf has created a fantastic opportunity to grow our tourism links to Germany, and it's important that we all work together through a coordinated approach to ensure it is a success.”

Sherin Francis, Chief Executive Officer of STB, said: “We are delighted to partner with Air Seychelles on this multi-city tour of Germany, which will deepen our presence in this important travel market.

“The recent launch of flights to Düsseldorf has greatly improved air access to Seychelles and this roadshow is designed to capitalize on that momentum by strengthening our trade ties in Germany.”

In addition to featuring presentations, each workshop included a raffle draw for two tickets to Seychelles with Air Seychelles.

The Düsseldorf service is operated on an Airbus A330 with a business cabin that has 18 lie-flat seats, allowing travellers to sleep and relax on the overnight flight to and from the Indian Ocean archipelago.
