Planning your long awaited getaway to a quarantine-free destination? Looking to enjoy a laid back peaceful atmosphere with added comfort? Look no further as Air Seychelles brings Maldives closer to you!

The Seychelles flag carrier has announced they will continue their popular weekly direct flights to the Maldives starting this August, to provide travellers looking for a vacation at a nearby destination, the opportunity to discover another island within the Indian Ocean.

Flying directly to Velana International Airport in Male within just 3 hours, the scheduled flights will be operated year-round by the airline’s A320neo jetliner of 12 Business and 156 Economy Class seats.

Travellers to the archipelago are recommended to opt for one of the four types of approved accommodation including resorts, hotels, guesthouses or safari vessels throughout their trip, whilst for those looking for a private island stay experience, the one island one resort concept will do the trick.

In line with the global COVID-19 procedure, all travellers must present a negative PCR test certificate conducted within 96 hours prior to departure and upon arrival in the Maldives. A copy of the negative PCR test must also be submitted on the immigration and health self-declaration platform at imuga.immigration.gov.mv within 24 hours prior to arrival and upon departure from Maldives.

Besides the 72 hour negative PCR test, prior to returning to the Seychelles travellers must also ensure to complete the mandatory Health Travel Authorisation (HTA) via seychelles.govtas.com.

To view the flight schedule and to book, travellers are advised to visit airseychelles.com, email the airline’s call centre at callcentre@airseychelles.com, call 4391000 or contact their travel agents.
