Air Seychelles, the national airline of the islands of Seychelles, has been bestowed its first ever award in the world category of the World Travel Awards programme for the year 2023.

Announced during the Grand Final Gala Ceremony which was held at the Burj Al Arab in Jumeirah, Dubai early this December, Air Seychelles was voted the World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean 2023.

Every year, the World Travel Awards’ Grand Tour scours the globe for excellence, awarding regional tourism and travel organisations, with a culmination in the Grand Final where winners go head-to-head for top honours. Marking its 30th anniversary, the World Travel Awards is globally recognised as one of the industry’s most prestigious honours
programmes.

Sandy Benoiton, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles says ‘It is an honour to be recognised as the World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean! This award is a huge endorsement and we are indeed very proud that our guests and partners hold us in such high esteem. In addition, earlier this year in October, Air Seychelles won two awards in the regional category, namely; “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline Brand” and “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline Economy Class.” 

Meanwhile, acknowledged at the same ceremony, the Seychelles retains its title as the World’s Most Romantic Destination in 2023.
