Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has announced that it has secured approval for guests flying between Seychelles and Paris to remain onboard the aircraft during their transit stop in Abu Dhabi, making life both simpler and more convenient for the traveling public.

Manoj Papa, Air Seychelles’ Chief Executive Officer said: “I am delighted to announce this major enhancement to our operating procedures, which means that business and leisure travellerstravelling in either direction now have the option to continue to relax onboard the aircraft instead of having to disembark or transfer to another aircraft during the scheduled transit in Abu Dhabi.

“Based upon the recommendations and feedback gained during in-depth discussions with major tour operators and key members of the travel trade, we are confident that this move will appeal to our guests - and play a pivotal role in securing a greater share of the tourism market in France.

“With the support of our equity and alliance partner, Etihad Airways, we have been able to streamline the transit experience for our customers, while continuing to meet the high standards of aviation security in place at Abu Dhabi International Airport.”

These changes come into effect immediately. Guests may occasionally be required to disembark for technical, operational or security reasons.

Air Seychelles recommenced flights to Paris from its home base in the Seychelles in July 2014 after a gap of two and half years.

Historically, the Seychelles archipelago has always been a popular destination for European tourists, with up to 25 per cent coming from France alone.

The Air Seychelles Paris flight schedule also providesconvenient two-way connectivity between Paris and more than 40 cities across Europe, including Belgrade, Berlin, Birmingham, Bologna, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Florence, Genoa, Helsinki, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Nantes, Newcastle, Stockholm, Vienna, and Warsaw.
