Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has participated in this week’s Aviation Summit in Abu Dhabi and ITB Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles participated in the panel discussion titled “Getting the next one billion passengers in the sky: what do commercial airlines and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) need to do?” While the key topic of the panel was: How are airlines changing their business model to expand to emerging markets?

Mr Kinnear said:” Air Seychelles is a very good example of an airline that through working with partners provides air access to Indian Ocean and niche markets as well as providing enhanced flight options within its own geographic region.”

During ITB in Berlin, Air Seychelles exhibited at the Seychelles Tourism Board stand as well as at the Etihad Airways Partners stand with videos promoting its product and services and a booth where visitors were able to meet Air Seychelles representatives and cabin crew.

The exhibition will gather over 100,000 visitors and close to 10,000 exhibitors from over 180 countries this year.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles said: “We are pleased to once again exhibit at ITB Berlin, Germany is a hugely important source market for Seychelles with a nation of people who like to travel.

“Working with Seychelles Tourism Board and our EAP partners this is a strong and focused collaborative effort to drive awareness of Seychelles and the ease of flight access to it.”

In addition to Air Seychelles, Etihad Airways, airberlin, Alitalia, NIKI, Air Serbia, Jet Airways and Etihad Regional were all present at the Etihad Airways Partners stand.

Collectively, Etihad Airways Partners serve 344 destinations, operate more than 700 aircrafts and carry over 100 million passengers each year, making it the world’s seventh largest grouping of airlines.
