Air Seychelles strengthen ties with travel trade partners in India
Air Seychelles has yesterday hosted a group of key travel trade professionals in India in acknowledgement of their continuous support in promoting the national airline as the preferred carrier for travel to the Seychelles and beyond.
The appreciation dinner held at the London Taxi restaurant in Mumbai was attended by the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Charles Johnson, Head of Aero-Political and Government Affairs, Liza Rene-Cosgrow together with the airline’s General Sales Agent based in India, Delna Shroff.
Addressing the attendees at the event, Charles Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles said: “To meet the increasing demand from the market, as from 12 May, Air Seychelles will start to operate six flights per week between India’s largest city and the Seychelles paradise.
“To support our growth and to further increase our presence in India, we will continue to maintain and value the excellent relationship with our trade partners.
“It through your commitment and continuous support that Air Seychelles continues to operate successfully from India to the Seychelles, effectively tap into new areas to develop potential business opportunities”.
Air Seychelles currently has active codeshare agreement with Air India to eight cities across India including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Trivandrum.
As from 12 May 2019, the Seychelles flag carrier will increase its services between Seychelles and Mumbai to six flights per week. The new frequency to be operated on Sundays by the airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft will offer an additional 272 seats to business and leisure passengers travelling to and from Mumbai to the Seychelles and onwards to either Johannesburg or Mauritius.
