Air Seychelles present at 75th edition of IATA Annual General Meeting in Seoul

Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has participated in the 75th edition of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS).

Held at the COEX Exhibition and Convention Centre in Seoul, South Korea under the theme ‘The Vision of the Future’ the main topics on the agenda of the meeting conducted over three days were focused broadly on how to best prepare the aviation industry for the opportunities and challenges expected within the next 20 years.

The meeting also provided several platforms for further discussions on the use of technology as a key facilitator for growth, strategies to ensure a diverse highly motivated workforce in aviation, how to meet the demand in traffic over the next 20 years, as well as the regulations governing the aviation environment.

Hosted by Korean Air, the summit, one of the largest gathering of airline leaders in the world was attended by approximately 800 representatives from IATA's member airlines, governments, leading aerospace manufacturers, suppliers, airports, stakeholder organizations and representatives from the media.

Air Seychelles delegation at the 75th edition of the IATA AGM included Chief Executive Officer, Remco Althuis, Chief Financial Officer, Michael Berlouis as well as the Head of Aero-Political and Government Affairs, Liza Rene-Cosgrow.

The IATA AGM was held as from Saturday, 1 June until Monday, 3 June 2019.
