Air Seychelles has joined the Seychelles National Parks Authority (SNPA) to clear the Glacis La Reserve nature trail located in the south of Mahe on Saturday, 15 June, 2019.

Located just after the Montagne Posee road, the circular path of the trail with endemic palm trees as well as stunning granite boulders is also home to unique bird species such as the Seychelles bulbul, the blue pigeon and the sunbird.

Apart from clearing the hiking route which leads to a rewarding view of the Anse Aux Pins and Anse Royale district once at the peak, the team also took the opportunity to collect all the plastic waste along the trail in support of the national drive against the use plastic.

Sheryl Barra, Head of Corporate Affairs at Air Seychelles said: “The Glacis La Reserve nature trail is enjoyed by local hikers and visitors alike, thus it is important that the trail is well maintained and kept clean at all times.

“As the airline corporate social responsibility for this year is mainly focused on the protection of the Seychelles environment, we will continue to get our staff involved in similar activities as we believe that the green scenery of the Island is a key attraction for visitors.

“We are also appealing to the general public to refrain from throwing their plastic waste in the environment and to actively participate in the various activities being organised to safeguard the future of the Seychelles environment”.
