Air Seychelles yesterday donated SCR 250,000 to the National Disaster Relief Fund to support recovery efforts after the recent flooding caused by Tropical Depression Felleng.

Cramer Ball, Air Seychelles’ Chief Executive Officer, presented the cheque to Lekha Nair, National Disaster Relief Fund Chairperson, in a ceremony at Mahé International Airport. 

Air Seychelles today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA), establishing a framework for future collaboration in human resources development and training opportunities for Seychellois nationals.

Through the national airline’s staff social and welfare club - The Creole Sky Club - Air Seychelles Staff collected RS33,000 amongst themselves and contributed to the Haiti Relief Fund manage by Red Cross Society of Seychelles.

Part of the funds donated was raised from ticket sales for a staff talent show held in November last year.

Victoria , August 19th 2009 – Air Seychelles has once again renewed its support for the Creole Festival through the sponsorship of ten international tickets valued at Rs 100,000 to fly in artists from other Creole-speaking countries to participate in this year’s festival being held in Seychelles from October 24th to 31st 2009.

To mark the International Day of the Disabled on Friday 11th July 2008, the Creole Sky Club of Air Seychelles made a cash contribution towards activities being organised by the National Council of the Disabled ( NCD).

As part of its commitment to the educational sector, Air Seychelles has once again lent its support towards the setting up of the Seychelles University with a sponsorship of SCR 50,000. This will be in the form of air tickets and freight costs.
