Air Seychelles' baggage allowance across its regional network is based on the total weight concept instead of the number of bags being checked-in. All checked in baggage should not exceed 32Kg and maximum dimensions of 75cm x 43cm x 90cm. All hand baggage should not exceed 7Kg and maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.
Baggage Allowance - Regional Network
- Business Class
- Child travelling in Business Class will be allowed the same baggage allowance as per the respective class of travel
- Infant between 0 to 23 months will be entitled only 10Kg of checked in baggage
- Parents travelling with an infant or child can also bring one pram in addition to the normal baggage allowance entitlement
- Each piece of checked in baggage should not exceed 32Kg
- Economy Class
- Child travelling in Economy Class will be allowed the same baggage allowance as per the respective class of travel
- Infant between 0 to 23 months will be entitled only 10Kg of checked in baggage
- Parents travelling with an infant or child can also bring one pram in addition to the normal baggage allowance entitlement
- Each piece of checked in baggage should not exceed 32Kg

- If your Air Seychelles ticket itinerary includes flights operated by other airlines, different baggage rules may apply.
- If your ticket is issued by another airline, please consult that airline to determine the applicable baggage rules.

Baggage Allowance - Domestic Flights
- All residents (point-to-point) will be allowed a total of 20Kg for travel on the domestic route, which includes 15Kg of checked baggage and 5Kg of carry on hand baggage per person.
- Non-residents (point-to-point) will be allowed a total of 28Kg for travel on the domestic route, which includes 23Kg of checked baggage and 5Kg of carry on hand baggage per person.
- Guests holding a through ticket from an international flight will be allowed the same baggage allowance on the connecting domestic flight as part of the baggage allowance entitlement stated on the ticket from the original point of travel.

- Acceptable hand baggage will include either a handbag, laptop bag, slim-line backpack or briefcase.
- Reusable shopping bags, printed plastic bags and oversized open tote bags will not be accepted as checked in or hand carried baggage on any flight.
- Guests carrying excess baggage more than 32Kg are advised to contact the airlines’ cargo department via email at cargocommercial@airseychelles.com or by phoning +248 4391046 or +248 4391311 prior to their flight.
- As the airline cannot guarantee that the baggage will arrive in Praslin or Mahé on the same flight, guests will be notified by the guest service agent on duty to collect their baggage at the airport once it arrives at their final destination.

Rods and reels.
Must be contained in a case and one bag with fishing tackle, landing net, and fishing boots.
Cycling
Non motorized bicycle.
Handlebars fixed sideways and pedals removed. Pedals and handlebars encased in plastic. Tyres deflated. Enclosed in Cardboard.
Diving
Scuba tank, scuba regulator, tank harness, and tank pressure gauge (subject to max weight).
For additional pieces, the standard excess baggage rate per piece shall apply.
Golf
Bag containing clubs, balls, umbrella and golf shoes.
For additional pieces, the standard excess baggage rate per piece shall apply.
Surfing
Surfboard.
Surfboards must be packed in suitable surfboard bags. At check-in, to be tagged with a limited release tag and passenger must sign for it, meaning that HM is not liable for any damage. For additional pieces, the standard excess baggage rate per piece shall apply
- Your sports equipment should be part of your checked baggage allowance
- The sport equipment must not exceed the maximum size of 75cmx43cmx90cm.
- Excess baggage fees will be charged on each sport item exceeding the weight limit. Please refer to the 'Excess Baggage Rates' section above for excess baggage fees.

Cabin Restrictions to the US
- General information
All US bound Guests travelling from Seychelles on Air Seychelles and Etihad Airways flights will be required to pack their electronic items which are bigger than smart phones in their check in baggage. Items include – but are not limited to - laptops, tablets, cameras & e-readers.
This policy is in line with the decision taken by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in consultation with relevant Departments and Agencies, which has determined it is prudent to enhance security, to include airport security procedures for passengers at certain last point of departure airports to the United States. These enhancements include more stringent measures applied to 10 specific airports.
The affected overseas airports are: Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Cairo International Airport (CAI), Ataturk International Airport (IST), King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (JED), King Khalid International Airport (RUH), Kuwait International Airport (KWI), Mohammed V Airport (CMN), Hamad International Airport (DOH), Dubai International Airport (DXB), and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).
South Africa Baggage Policy - Permitted and non-permitted items
- General Information
The Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) is advising all guests to take note of the items which will NOT be permitted as checked baggage (OOG or otherwise) include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Automobiles or Automobile parts
- Breathing Apparatus
- Cylinders
- Diagnostic specimens
- Drilling and Mining Equipment
- Electrical Equipment
- Electrically powered apparatus
- Fuels
- Household Goods
- Machinery parts
- Magnets
Guests are advised that these items will be stopped from entering the Baggage Areas at all Out-Of-Gauge points with immediate effect. The airline will not be held responsible for any items held by the ACSA as mentioned above.
