Air Seychelles Celebrates 40th National Day with spectacular aircraft flyover
Thousands of people gathered at the Unity stadium on Wednesday, 29 June on the occasion of the 40th National day celebration to witness a spectacular flyover of the Air Seychelles wide body Airbus A330 and two Twin Otter aircraft. Departing the Seychelles international airport 15 minutes after each other, commencing with the twin otters, the aircraft proceeded over the north eastern side of the main island Mahe, before flying over the Unity stadium in formation. The successful flyover of the first Twin Otter was handled by Captain Mervin Mondon, and First Officer Jean Marc Barra, whilst the second Twin Otter was manned by Captain Eddy Cesar and First Officer Gavin Hermitte. Captain Christophe Larue who was the pilot in command of the Airbus A330 was assisted by Captain Donal Young and Captain Jason Morris. The flyover was indeed a proud moment for Air Seychelles and the people of Seychelles.
