Air Seychelles, the national airline of the islands of Seychelles, has been bestowed its first ever award in the world category of the World Travel Awards programme for the year 2023.

Announced during the Grand Final Gala Ceremony which was held at the Burj Al Arab in Jumeirah, Dubai early this December, Air Seychelles was voted the World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean 2023.

Air Seychelles Chief Executive Officer, Sandy Benoiton and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) Chief Executive Officer, Garry Albert took up the National Wheelchair Challenge at the Seychelles International Airport this Monday.

Air Seychelles, the national carrier of the Republic of Seychelles announces a profit of USD 8.4 million for the year 2022.

This was the first year of profit for Air Seychelles since 2016 when it reported a small gain of USD 425k.

Air Seychelles is pleased to announce that it will add service from its home base of Mahe, Seychelles to Colombo, Sri Lanka with twice weekly flights commencing in June.

Air Seychelles and the Tourism Department have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to renew efforts into boosting inbound tourism into the Seychelles and attract travelers across the airline’s regional network. Air Seychelles is pleased to announce that it has successfully passed and received its IOSA Renewal Certification this year. This marks the tenth time the carrier has successfully achieved this renewal. The National carrier’s first certification was obtained in 2006.

Air Seychelles together with Tourism Seychelles has recently participated in OTM and SATTE in India and IMTM in Israel this February.

The OTM is the largest and most international gathering of travel trade buyers and professionals in India and across Asia. The annual event was held in the busiest financial city of Mumbai between 02nd and 04th February.
