Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has significantly boosted its air links to Thailand following an expansion of its codeshare agreement with Jet Airways.

As part of the deal, Air Seychelles has placed its “HM” flight code on Jet Airways’ triple-daily service between Mumbai and the vibrant city of Bangkok, which is home to over eight million people.

Combined with Air Seychelles’ five-per-week service between Mahé and Mumbai, this gives travellers 15 connections a week to the Thai capital over India.

The new agreement also complements Air Seychelles’ existing codeshare on Etihad Airways’ triple-daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok, as well as on its daily service from Abu Dhabi to Phuket, Thailand’s biggest island.

As a result, Air Seychelles now provides 71 possible weekly connections from Seychelles to Thailand, one of the Far East’s most alluring travel destinations.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “Our codeshare agreement with Jet Airways has grown quickly over the past few weeks, and we’re excited to expand it to Thailand, a country which has always been popular with Seychellois business travellers and holidaymakers.

“With this agreement, our guests now have 71 weekly one-stop connections to Thailand over Mumbai and Abu Dhabi, making travel more convenient to this part of the world.

“From excellent shopping to magnificent Buddhist temples, a balmy climate and dynamic nightlife, Bangkok is a city that never fails to impress, and we’re happy to work together with Jet Airways to make travelling there simpler for our guests.”

The new codeshare flights with Jet Airways are available for travel from 5 November, 2016 and can be booked by going to www.airseychelles.com, phoning the Air Seychelles call centre on 4391000, or by visiting a travel agent.
