Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has recorded the highest tonnage of cargo handled ever in a single day on 1 December, 2017.

The airlines’ cargo department handled a total of 108 tonnes of consignment of which 71 tonnes arrived to Seychelles on a number of carriers including, Air Seychelles, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways.  The remaining 37 tonnes were sent out of Seychelles to various destinations across the globe to Mauritius, Johannesburg and Paris.

Air Seychelles alone carried a total of 83 tonnes both on inbound and outbound flights combined.
