Qualifications and skills
- Related technical training required – any relevant certificate or diploma desirable e.g. Motor Mechanics City & Guilds Advanced Certificate/ Diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant hands-on experience.
- Knowledge in maintaining ground support equipment, with the capability to work with a variety of repair and test equipment.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record within the past two years.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting technical documents such as repair manuals.
- Strong team player.
- Possesses a safety-conscious approach to work
- Organized and responsible.
- Good initiative.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays
- Good physical fitness and coordination – ability to lift and move reasonable weight

Summary
- Maintain and repair a variety of equipment like forklifts and other airport vehicles.
- Conduct servicing tasks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as delegated by the Supervisor.
- Promptly report significant defects encountered on work in progress to immediate superior.
- Operate company equipment and vehicles for proper service, safe operation and immediately report all defects and discrepancies.
- Accountable to identify and report safety and security-related occurrences and hazards in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
- Ensure that all company and legal requirements relating to work document are duly compiled in compliance with SCAA regulations.
- Ensure the company and State Health Policy is adhered to within the areas of responsibility, including the proper use of safety gear.
- Ensure the cleanliness of vehicles and premises at all times.
- Respond to work requirements outside of rostered shift when necessary.
- Attend training to upgrade skills.
