Qualifications and skills
  • Related technical training required – any relevant certificate or diploma desirable e.g. Motor Mechanics City & Guilds Advanced Certificate/ Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge in maintaining ground support equipment, with the capability to work with a variety of repair and test equipment.
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record within the past two years.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting technical documents such as repair manuals.
  • Strong team player.
  • Possesses a safety-conscious approach to work
  • Organized and responsible.
  • Good initiative.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays
  • Good physical fitness and coordination – ability to lift and move reasonable weight

  • Maintain and repair a variety of equipment like forklifts and other airport vehicles.
  • Conduct servicing tasks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as delegated by the Supervisor.
  • Promptly report significant defects encountered on work in progress to immediate superior.
  • Operate company equipment and vehicles for proper service, safe operation and immediately report all defects and discrepancies.
  • Accountable to identify and report safety and security-related occurrences and hazards in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
  • Ensure that all company and legal requirements relating to work document are duly compiled in compliance with SCAA regulations.
  • Ensure the company and State Health Policy is adhered to within the areas of responsibility, including the proper use of safety gear.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of vehicles and premises at all times.
  • Respond to work requirements outside of rostered shift when necessary.
  • Attend training to upgrade skills.
