Qualifications and skills
  • IATA Airline Operations Diploma*
  • Degree holder preferred, ideally in a relevant discipline*
  • 6 years’ work experience as cabin crew member*.
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
  • Good understanding of airline operations.
  • Audit/investigation skills and techniques, including audit reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential- Fluency in English
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to contribute ideas and methodically introduce new approaches/Procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Must be able to operate with complete integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently and also as part of a team.

Summary
  • Establish and revise the cabin crew safety standard operating procedures and cabin safety standards in the light of regulatory changes, manufacturer changes and operational experience.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with flight operations, ground operations, technical operations, security, crew training and other relevant departments.
  • Monitor all cabin safety reports and advise Head of Flight operations on cabin safety issues.
  • Issue Operations Bulletins on cabin safety related issues in consultation with the Manager Cabin Operations and Head of Flight Operations.
  • Assist with conducting investigations into alleged breaches in safety procedures as and when required.
  • Coordinate any internal and external safety and operational audit e.g. Authority (SCAA), IATA Operational Safety Audit and Air Seychelles Compliance. Investigate findings raised and ensure appropriate corrective action is put in place within the required timeline.
  • Conduct safety workshops to promote best practice, compliance, competence and professionalism in cabin crew operational duties and responsibilities.
